Have you ever had someone call you on something you did wrong? It seems that we have this innate reflex of blaming others, making excuses, or denying the wrong in what we have done....why is that? Is this just another influence of our culture today?
Nope. In fact, these same defensive reactions can be seen as far back as Adam & Eve in the garden...when sin first entered the world. Thousands of years later, nothing had changed, for we see these same responses from Abraham when Abimelech confronts his dishonesty about Sarah in Genesis Chapter 20. This chapter has some great nuggets of truth tucked within, including support for Absolute Truth and an example of how God accomplishes his will through intimate involvement in our day-to-day lives.
